The start to our little story.

I met the man I would call my husband when I was a senior in high school and he was a sophomore. We started out as best friends and he's still my best friend. Ryan is my rock. Like all marriages we've had our share of ups and downs, but I think it's helped us grow and grow up through them. The saying goes (I believe) that "I can't wait to grow old with you". Well I want to grow old with him for sure, but it could certainly slow down a bit. Time goes by so fast! This year we will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary!

Even though we were very young when we got married, we tried to have children right away. Mainly because of fertility issues on my part. LONG story short we got married in 2002 and by 2009 we made the decision to try for the last time to get pregnant. I think we had just finally come to peace with the fact that we would not be starting a family the traditional way. We did our last round of fertility and for the first time I had two eggs. We were calm and had very little hope that it would happen this time, but again we were at peace with that. We were to go on a Florida vacation the following week. Our Doctor told us to go and relax and have a nice time and we did.
Three weeks after our last treatment we went in to follow up with our Doctor and... the Doctor said "Well your pregnant!". We were very quiet, it just wasn't sinking in. The Doctor said "Do you hear the heartbeat?"...we just starred at the monitor... then he said "I'm going to do one last check with the ultrasound and make sure every thing is ok. Oh WOW look there's heartbeat number two! You're having twins!!!". My husband, Ryan, broke our silence with "Will you show me where the counter is?". He was kind of stumbling backwards. We were so shocked!
Our pregnancy was long and hard. I went into preterm labor at 24 weeks which started many hospital stays. Thank God we were able to hold off until 36 weeks. When, at 36 weeks I went into labor for the last time, and with in 22 minutes I had delivered our daughter Rylie, and then our son Leeland.

Becoming a Mommy was the best thing I've ever done! Although it's the hardest job I've ever had it has been the most fulfilling! The Doctor had always told us that we had a 1% chance of us ever being able to get pregnant on our own. BUT in June of 2011 we found out we were pregnant again with out any fertility treatment! Hmmm... 1% chance? We now are only a few short weeks away from delivering another son with no complications this far! Praise God! I'll soon be a Mommy with 3 babies under 3 years of age! YIKES! I'm nervous and scared but so looking forward to all the new memories to come!

I'm creating this blog to share photos and stories with our long distance family and our friends. More stories soon y'all...
