argh!

Potty Princess? Nope, Potty Pirate! This Momma says whatever gets the job done! This week I have a mission. That mission is to potty train one of our two year olds. I certainly won't say "Mission Complete", however our daughter Rylie, is doing great!

A couple of weeks ago my angelic Auntie Lo and Uncle G came for a visit. My Auntie Lo with her amazing teaching skills came with a plan of action to potty train our two, two year olds. Wow what a job! Although we did not succeed, Auntie Lo planted wonderful seeds that now I can see starting to sprout.

Auntie Lo, as always, did her research and brought with her a potty Pirate and potty Princess "costume". They consist of a pink boa for Rylie and a Pirate patch and hat for Leeland. After Uncle G and Auntie Lo left I continued to try. Saying the words "You can be a potty Pirate/Princess if you go pee-pee or poo-poo in the potty????"...with no avail until this week.
Rylie is pooing and peeing in the potty! She doesn't want to wear a diaper at nap time or bedtime, but Mommy's not ready to let that go yet. I'm SO SO PROUD of her!!! She got up this morning with a dry diaper and went potty then insisted on putting her 'pritzy (princess) panties.

Oh, and she's gone all rogue Pirate on us ;-) No Potty Princess "costume she opts for the Pirate ARGH!!!

As for Lee'lee...I'm still working on him, but we have a ways to go. I'm hoping he doesn't opt for the Potty Princess outfit! But whatever works...I'll have a blast with the pictures when he's 16!!!

update

So much is going on in our lives right now! Mainly the terrible two's, and three fussy babies. I wanted
to quickly update our family and friends.

This past Sunday we decided to publicly dedicate all three children to God. Regardless of how I feel about formalities/traditions in the church, I still feel that this is one thing I wanted to do. Especially since it does take a village to raise a child, and I wanted to publicly announce that "Yes I will/do need your help in guiding my children down the right path". It was a crazy day and I don't remember much about it other than Ryan and I doing everything in our power to keep them quiet until it was over. Thank God our church broadcast via the internet for the 11:15a service and it's recorded so I was able to watch it later. So glad we did it and although crazy I would do it all over again.

Since we've had such lovely weather the twins have played outside a lot with their Daddy. I have some pic's below of some of the fun they've had and things they've gotten to do.

Caden is now 5 weeks old! Today he had his 1 month appointment and weighed 11lbs 2oz! The Doctor said he looks great and is holding his head up like a 2 month old. So far so good.

Enjoy the pic's everyone! I'm still holding out for a new camera so I can capture some better quality pic's. All of the pic's below were taken with my phone. (Sorry the dedications pic's were taken by a gentleman at church.)

Much love! Bye for now.

Our pastors wife and head of children's ministries, Susan Hughes.
Leeland fell asleep on the couch with his Dad, this was a first!

Our three sweeties! (Well they are sweet! Sometimes! ;-)

a promise for me...

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to HIS eternal glory in Christ, will HIMSELF restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1 Peter 5:10

Thank you God for your PROMISES!!!
